Frequently Asked Questions

How would you describe your style?

I describe my style as elegant, modern and emotive, natural and unposed. I photograph in a documentary style, which means capturing moments authentically as they happen, with a little helpful direction when needed.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based in Cheshire, but I travel all over the UK and beyond to capture weddings. For UK weddings, my travel and accommodation costs are included in my full day and elopement packages, so no extra costs there. For destination weddings, you'll receive a bespoke quote which incorporates travel and accommodation.

3

Do we need a second photographer?

I recommend opting for a second photographer if a) the two of you are getting ready at different locations, b) you want more time for couples photos or c) you want to make sure you have all different angles covered e.g. for the ceremony.

4

Should we book an engagement session?

Engagment sessions are great if you have never been in front of the camera before - you get to know me, how I work and see that having your picture taken can be fun and relaxed! Plus, they are great for wedding websites/save the dates!

5

How long are you there for on our wedding day?

If you book a full day package, I work with you to make sure my timings line up with the key moments of your wedding day. Typically, I will arrive~2 hours before the ceremony which gives plenty of time for getting ready and detail shots, till ~30 minutes after the first dance. Often by this point in the evening, I'll have taken plenty of party pictures, and I find guests need to let loose away from my camera! A couple of my packages include extended coverage if you're planning a photo opportunity for later in the evening, such as fireworks or a sparkler send off.

6

When do we receive our pictures?

During the wedding season, expect a 6-8 week turnaround, which is pretty standard in the wedding industry. However, I always send you a sneak peek gallery of ~30 images within 1 week of your wedding day for you to download, share with family and friends and re-live some of the key moments of your day.

7

How do we receive our pictures?

All pictures are delivered as high resolution JPGs through a beautiful, password-protected online gallery, where you can also order gorgeous prints. You can share the link with your family and friends for easy sharing as well. Your pictures will always be available through this portal, but I recommend downloading them as well.

8

How much do you charge?

My packages start from £675 (2022) for micro weddings, and £2000 (2022-2023) for full day coverage, with optional extras and all-inclusive packages. For more information, when you submit an enquiry through my website's contact form, I'll personally respond as soon as possible and send you my pricing guide with full details and costs of all my packages.

9

What is a post-wedding adventure session?

A chance for you to get some seriously epic pictures! We head off somewhere totally different from your wedding venue e.g. mountain, beach, forest etc for an intimate, fun, unique photoshoot. Perfect for a first anniversary gift!

10

How far in advance should we book?

I would recommend booking around a year in advance (or more if you're really on it) to avoid disappointment! This is particularly important if your wedding is on a weekend in summer, as I often get several enquiries for the same date. I always recommend securing your most important suppliers as soon as you can - you don't want to fall in love with them and then be let down when they aren't available!

11

Are you an inclusive supplier?

Absolutely, this is something I am constantly thinking about and trying to work on. I love celebrating what makes you unique as a couple and fully embrace that. I am LGBTQ+ friendly, and am also educating myself on how to be the best supplier for neurodivergent couples!

12

How do we book?

Simply fill out a contact form on my website and I'll email you back to book! Bookings are secured through a signed contract and 25% deposit payment. I can't wait to work with you to capture your big day!

Here's what Bryn and Bethany had to say...

"We cannot recommend Opperhill Photography enough! From start to finish Tasha was incredible. We received a very relaxed meeting before the wedding which gave us opportunity to talk through every part of our day and the style of pictures we were after. Natasha really took on board everything we said in order to make her photography personalised to our wedding.

On the day she was there from us getting ready to dancing at night and was snapping away all day! There were so many times we didn't even realise she was taking pictures which made it all the more special when we looked through the photos.

Tasha sent us a few sneak peaks only a couple of days after the wedding which was such a lovely surprise and made us very excited to see the rest. We then got sent a very easy to use online site with all of our photos that made it very simple to share with friends and family.
We were overwhelmed with how beautiful the pictures turned out and have had so many compliments from friends and family about the photos and Tasha herself."
